And I need a nap! Oh one update – our narcoleptic bird died ๐ I forgot to post that awhile back. Poor thing – we miss him a lot. Ok on to Spring.
So spring fever hit us and we decided we were going to plant. We have one area in our back yard around a pine tree that has been marked off by ugly railroad ties. The only good thing about them is that we noticed how well they did keep in the dirt! So that is now a flower and herb garden. Lots of wildflowers, snapdragons, violas, tulips, sunflowers, hyacinth, basil, mint, onions, parsley, dill, basil, chives, rosemary, basil, and more basil.
Then we decided to do a veggie garden. Note to self – never go to 8 different stores and buy tomatoe plants from all of them. We must have 30 tomatoe plants now! Ok so in the veggie garden we have tomatoes, broccoli, zucchini, cabbage, lettuce, spinach, jalapenos, peppers and I am not sure what else. BUT we had to build a fence around it so we can keep the %$#!@#$& squirrels out of it. Do you realize what a total pain in the ^&$#!! ass chicken wire is? OMFG it took us two hours to build the fence and it still is not finished.
But all in all the gardens look great. We are both so tired though. It took us all weekend to finish cultivating and taking out all the freaking roots. We even found quite a few coffin nails which is a bit unnerving since we live next to the cemetery. Only found a couple bones, a frisbee, lots of beer paraphernalia, petrified poo, rocks galore and goddess knows what else.
And of course pale skin me has a lovely sunburn to go with the weekend. I feel a little bad. I haven’t been to a group meeting since Imbolc. even though our life is calm it is busy and we have had classes and field trips to go on always on weekends. Plus I work so much and I am so tired all I want to do is family stuff on the weekends. I am still doing a lot of questioning when it comes to my faith. I relate with paganism a lot but there is so much more out there. Kat is Jewish and the more I read the more that makes sense. So I am still searching for the path that is right for me.
So now Spring has sprung and I am tired and ready for bed.
