life – kids

Well I have chicken pox – what a wonderful way to end this week!

On another note I talked in length with Matt’s father today. He told me I should get Matt checked for pheochromocytoma and that he would like to be a part of Matt’s life now. He wants to get to know him and said that he has no desire to take him away from me. He said that I am all he has ever known and it is best that he is with me. I did find out he is living in Tampa now. He has custody of his kids too. I was so nervous talking to him I almost cried. It is frightening but his dad has changed a lot in the last 14 years. So I guess I need to talk to Matt about this.

Edit: I talked with Matt about this and he does want to get to know him. I told him I have Scott’s phone number and email. I guess we will take things one day at a time.

Other than that not much to report. I went to Cleveland over the weekend and did a double lesbian wedding. I have become a disc golf fanatic and can’t seem to play enough. It is great exercise and cheap!

Work is ok – they are letting me work from home right now while I am contagious.

I am tired. I need to make more money. I wish I made enough to just be ok and be able to pay everything on time and still have money to play with.

One day I guess. Kat’s ex has all the money in the world – blows a grand a night sometimes. She has no cares no worries but she is so unhappy. I just want to make it to work everyday and with gas at almost $3 a gallon I can barely do that.

Will write more later.

I didn’t see this post!!! It could be because I was away from my computer so much, but how annoying is that?!?

I’m sorry you and Kat have chicken pox – you were missed at the party yesterday!!

I can’t imagine how Matt must feel, having his dad ring back into his life and want to be a part of it. It makes me feel jealous – all the times I’ve wished my dad cared enough to even contact me!!! Regardless, he couldn’t take that boy from you if he tried. You’ve spent all these years taking care of him, providing for him, and in the past few years you’ve provided pretty damned well for him. No court in the world would take him away from that. And all that said…I can’t imagine how scary it was for you to hear from him…no matter what the head says, the heart whispers what it feels, and that’s just scarey!! You’re so mature about it…you’re AWESOME!

I hope you feel better soon, and let us know if there’s anything we can do to help!

I hope the party was nice! I hate that we missed it. Sometimes it is hard to believe Lorelei is getting so big! Of course it is hard to believe Matt is in High School now!

As for his dad – yeah it was scary. I wasn’t sure how he was going to be. I wasn’t sure how Matt was going to feel about it. For so many years when he would do things in school and talk about his father and how he knows nothing about him. I felt so bad for him then. I didn’t know if I felt safe contacting his dad and what would happen. When I talked to Scott I told him Matt is old enough to decide for himself if he was to remain in contact with him and get to know him. He was totally ok with that. He is out of the military now after being in the last 14 years. He has settled down back in Florida, bought a house and as he said after $23,000 and several lawyers has full custody of his kids Sarah and Steven. Sarah is the same age as Matt. Her bday is June 20. So it will be interesting. I am not ready by any means to let him be around Scott alone but this I hope will be a good thing.

As for the pox – itchy and scratchy hope to be better soon!

      Thanks sis!
